Pusha T Project
On the 10th of January 2016 president of good music Pusha T played in Wellington. I’m a huge fan so I began the Pusha T project. The project entailed designing two garments that were inspired by his latest album Darkest Before Dawn. The first garment was a light weight, dark elongated t-shirt featuring extended sleeves, a back yoke and a triangular panel, we finished it off with raw edges. The second garment that we created was a two in a one bomber jacket that had a top white panel going across the chest. On top of this we had two flaps that came down from the shoulders, one on either side. In these we inserted magnets which would allow him to move the flaps back and forth from front to back. When the flaps moved to the back it would reveal KING PUSH that we had screen printed across the chest whilst at the same time the top of the jacket would become almost completely white, thus making it a two in one jacket. We finished if off with two front jet pockets and a beautiful white silk lining.
